We are a family-run business based in Rishton, East Lancashire, established in 2023 after more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the construction and property maintenance industry.

Our mission is simple: to provide professional, cost-effective, and long-lasting solutions for the treatment of damp, mould, condensation, and timber issues in residential and rental properties.

Our Vision and Mission

Every job starts with finding the real cause. Damp is often misdiagnosed. A patch on the wall might be rising damp, penetrating damp, a leaking pipe or simple condensation, and each needs a different fix. We survey the property first, explain what we've found in plain English, and only quote for the work that is actually needed. Where it makes sense, we handle the whole job, from stripping out and treatment through to plastering and making good, so you deal with one team.

Homeowners, landlords and letting agents across Hyndburn, Blackburn and Darwen, including Rishton, Accrington and Great Harwood. We treat rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation and mould, and dry rot and other timber problems, and we install ventilation such as extractor fans, PIVs and passive units where condensation is the cause.

DampCav started in 2023, built on over 25 years in construction and property maintenance. We moved our base from Darwen to Rishton, but we still work across the same area, and Darwen remains one of the places we work most. We are a family business, so we treat every home as if it were our own.
