Damp Proofing in Blackburn, Lancashire
Dampcav treats rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation and timber decay for homes and businesses across Blackburn. We are based in Rishton, just a few miles away. Whether you've spotted damp patches, a musty smell, or crumbling plaster, our experienced surveyor Joel can diagnose the cause and arrange a quote for the works.
Local knowledge, Blackburn housing stock
Blackburn has a lot of older terraced homes with solid stone or brick walls, and many were built without a damp-proof course or have one that has failed over time. Rising damp, penetrating damp through the walls, and condensation in poorly ventilated rooms are the problems we see most. Finding the real cause first means you only pay for the work that is actually needed.

What Blackburn customers say
"Would highly recommend" - 10 / 10 Job location: BB2 - Verified reviewer
I contacted Joel at Dampcav and agreed a visit to quote; he explained everything and was very knowledgeable about what was causing the damp issues within the property. Within 2 days the work had started and completed within 3 days which is what he advised, he went above and beyond to work within the timescales he quoted. Joel was a pleasure to deal with and has got my house feeling like a home again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joel and Dampcav to anyone. 10 out of 10. The quality of the work is outstanding and completed quickly. Thankyou Joel for all your help
"Installing extractor fans in bathroom and kitchen check condensation on landing" - 10 / 10 Job location: BB2 - Verified reviewer
Joel and all his team were always on time very tidy indeed, for workmen. Very friendly team. I cannot praise them highly enough. He kept me informed of work and times throughout, via phone and email. His advice and knowledge were accurate and welcome. He went above and beyond to sort my job out as it wasn't an easy installation for his team. He even worked to complete the job over the weekend, which was a bonus for me. I would have no hesitation in asking Joel to do work for me again nor to recommend his company in the future. Thank you Joel and to your teams, keep up the good work, Sue
